Rob Aptaker "Native American Programs"

Mr. Aptaker has studied with Native Americans for over 22 years. He has done extensive research on their ways of life. Mr. Aptaker shares artifacts and demonstrates how the Native Americans used objects from nature to create tools, fire and other necessities of life. He begins with a large audience overview of customs and lifestyles, and follows this with workshops in individual classrooms. In the workshops the students have an opportunity to ask questions and to participate in a variety of activities such as songs and dances from specific tribal nations, grinding corn, or making usable cordage from plant fibers.
