Emilie Boon
Emilie Boon is a local author/illustrator known for her crayon resist technique of illustration. She has written and illustrated more than twenty books for young children including Belinda's Balloon, Peterkin Meets a Star, and No Kiss for Grandpa by Harriet Ziefert.
Emilie's presentation begins with her reading one of her books and talking with the children about the process of writing and illustration. The students the engage in a hands-on project to illustrate a simple accordion book using her signature style incorporating crayon and watercolor.
