Eric Olson
Connections Between Climate and Energy focuses on the links between ancient forests and photosyntheses. Eric Olson is a forest insect ecologist and educator. In this program he discusses fossil fuels and the burning of these fuels to produce electricity, along with the unavoidable release of much carbon dioxide into the earth's atmosphere and its impact on the earth's climate. Dr. Olson uses a power point presentation and hands-on demonstrations to help make the connections between ancient and modern forests clear to the students.
