Eleanor Rosellini
Ms. Rosellini is the author of the suspenseful Hidden Treasure Mysteries. She presents an engaging inveractive program centered on a suitcase full of family treasures. First, she explains how family history inspired her to become a writer. Then as she invites volunteers to choose items from her suitcase, students may find themselves faced with deciphering a coded message from the Civil War, trying on a set of hand puppets, or taking a spelling test from 1920. Ms. Rosellini points out the every family has treasures -- history, objects, stories, recipes or customs. She supplies the teachers with a writing assignment which gives students the opportunity to become treasure hunters in their own families.
