Birds of prey are also known as raptors. The group includes eagles, hawks, falcons and owls. This program concentrates on our native raptor species, incorporating five live birds from different raptor categories. An overview of North American birds of prey is provided, explaining the birds' environment, their different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. This presentation also features one or more of the endangered raptors that the presenters care for, and explains why these species face an uncertain future.
