About the Event

Dear Franklin families,

We are happy to announce our annual HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE from November 29th to December 13th, in conjunction with Village Bank- a tradition Franklin has been participating in for many years.

We know this year's holiday season will bring unique challenges to many families in our community. We also know COVID amplifies inequities and hardships already present. If you are able, please consider giving to Newton families in need by donating new toys or games (unwrapped, please) for children ages newborn to 10.  You can also donate gift cards to local toy stores, Target, or Newtonville Books. Target cards are especially popular with families! Please do not donate books - the Village Bank has found that books are difficult to distribute due to variations in reading levels.

There will be a drop-off box next in the front office at school this year OR you can drop them off at Jackie's front porch at 167 Cherry Street.

Please contact Jackie at jsavageborne@bwh.harvard.edu with any questions.

We know that folks are sometimes in the position to give, and at other times may be in need of assistance. Is your family in need of holiday gifts for kids?

Please reach out to our Franklin Social Worker, Daniela, at mackinnond@newton.k12.ma.us at any time to get connected to resources.

Thank you in advance for the ever-present generosity and kindness of the Franklin Community.  Always proud to be a part of it.

Warmly,

Ranjani Paradise and Jackie Savage-Borne
