Franklin PTO Falcon Fund

The Franklin PTO aims to foster an optimal educational experience for all students and to help develop a close connection between Franklin families and faculty. To achieve this, we allocate the contributions and proceeds received for our Falcon Fund to support and fund various enriching programs and community building events that benefit Franklin Elementary School, its students, teachers, and staff.

Here are some of the programs and events that the Franklin PTO supports and funds:

Creative Arts & Sciences: Students are provided with multiple opportunities to participate in curricular-enriching programs in Creative Arts & Sciences, such as author/illustrator guest speakers, musical performances, and hands-on STEM workshops.
Teacher Mini Grants and Discretionary Funds: Teachers use funds to purchase items for their classrooms, such as literacy materials, supplies, or flexible seating.
Staff Appreciation Events: We host luncheons and provide tokens of appreciation for staff throughout the year for their hard work and dedication to our students.
Multicultural Celebration: An event where we celebrate and learn more about the many different cultures in our Franklin community.
Kindergarten Welcome: We host playground meet-ups and provide cool treats during the summer for incoming Franklin kindergarteners, fostering a place for our newest Franklin Falcons to build friendships and community.

Franklin Fund Annual Appeal

The Franklin PTO raises money for the Falcon Fund through our annual appeal.

For the 2023-2024 school year, our goal is to raise $15,000 for our Falcon Fund with your financial support by October 31, 2023. The minimum suggested donation amount is $75. Please know that ALL gifts are meaningful and that no amount is too small because it's your participation that matters most.

Special Events and Franklin Spirit Wear Sales

The Franklin PTO hosts special events and sells Franklin spirit wear throughout the year, where any proceeds received are directed to the Falcon Fund. These not only benefit the school, but also provide opportunities to:

Socialize as a community (e.g., Mystery Dinner, Auctions and Trivia Night and Halloween Bash)
Support local businesses (e.g., "Dining for Dollars" at our local favorite restaurants)

Falcon Fund Annual Target Budget

The Franklin PTO sets an annual target budget for the Falcon Fund to ensure it is adequately funded each year. We strive to meet our annual target budget through donations from our Falcon Fund Annual Appeal and any proceeds received by hosting special events and selling Franklin spirit wear.
