"Meet The Teacher" Event - Thursday, September 2nd at 9:00am

Good Evening, Franklin Families.

I hope that all of you are doing well as we finish yet another hot and humid late summer day.  As much as I am reluctant to see summer end, I am looking forward to some cooler weather as we begin the school year!

I am writing to invite you to bring your children to a "Meet the Teacher" event next Thursday, September 2nd, at 9:00 a.m. Unfortunately, due to current health/safety restrictions, we cannot have parents or caregivers come into the building at this time, and teachers will meet students outside at the following locations:

Kindergarten-  In front of the building to the right

First Grade- Front steps area

Second Grade- Basketball court

Third Grade- Front steps area

Fourth Grade- Blacktop on west side of school by field

Fifth Grade- Baseball diamond

Teachers will take students into the building to build familiarity with the arrival routine and introduce them to their classrooms and each other.  We will then return your children to you in the same location at 9:30, so we ask that all parents and caregivers please return by 9:25.   We look forward to seeing many of you next Thursday morning, and, as always, I encourage you to contact me with questions or concerns at chittym@newton.k12.ma.us.
