This past Monday, Franklin 5th graders had a CAS (Creative Arts & Sciences) Program with poet Andrew Green! He led them in an engaging exercise on how to write a "puzzle poem", where the students take an everyday object inside the classroom, and work through interesting traits to engage the reader, and finally quiz them at the end of the poem to guess what the poem was about. Students wrote poems on the spot to share with him and the class. He shared his original poems as well as some of his process, and his favorite poems by others.
