Dear Franklin families,
By now, most of you have read Principal Jocelyn's latest email, and heard about the devastating news of the fire on Cherry Street last Thursday, November 12th, that affected one of our very own Franklin families. It was right down the street from our school, and we know this has really hit home for many.
Since the students affected go to all three schools, all the PTOs across Franklin Elementary, Day Middle School, and Newton North High School have collaborated to create a Go Fund Me page. The family lost everything and we know that the funds that we raise through this page will definitely help them get back on their feet. We already see so many Franklin families have contributed to the Go Fund Me, and are so incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive community!
Within the link, there is also a Google Sheet to add your name if you have any leads on Newton apartments since they are in temporary housing currently. Thank you to Ranjani Paradise, a Franklin parent and coordinator for Newton Neighbors Helping Neighbors, who is helping to collect names and pass them on to the appropriate channels via the Google sheet.
