From the Principal - January 23, 2022
Updated: Jan 31
Dear Franklin Families,
I hope that all of you enjoyed the weekend! It was wonderful to see many of you at our January PTO Meeting last Thursday evening, when we talked about Social-Emotional Learning at Franklin with School Psychologist Dr. Toni Kelly. For those of you who were not able to attend, I have attached the slides that were the basis for our conversation.
Progress Reports will be available in Aspen for all families on Thursday, February 10th. Students’ current performance levels in a variety of academic and social objectives are reported in reference to our grade-level benchmarks. In areas where students are meeting expectations for this time of year, they receive a “3.” “4” indicates performance significantly beyond grade-level benchmarks. “2” and “1” indicate varying degrees of required growth toward benchmarks.
During these next four school weeks before February Vacation, I look forward to continuing the rich learning experiences in our school as we watch our community’s COVID numbers decline and dream of the greater opportunities for community gatherings and volunteer involvement in the school that will hopefully come our way in the spring. It is an honor and privilege to be your principal.
With Best Wishes,
