Fall Orientations This Week!
Fall Orientations This Week!

Our Franklin School librarian, Mrs. Airasian, is looking for parent volunteers to help in the library this school year!

What does a library volunteer do?Parents volunteer during their child’s library class to help check books in and out, re-shelve materials, and assist with other small tasks as needed. It’s a fun way to be involved at school and see your child during their school day!

First Step: Attend a Volunteer Orientation

All library volunteers must attend a brief 15-minute orientation with Mrs. Airasian in the library. The orientation will cover the volunteer handbook, library layout, and a quick introduction to the library software.

Orientation dates:

  • Tuesday, September 22, 8:10–8:25 AM

  • Wednesday, September 23, 8:10–8:25 AM

  • Friday, September 25, 8:10–8:25 AM

Please arrive on time, as the sessions are very short!

Please RSVP using the Google Form and let us know which orientation you will attend:Google Form RSVP

Second Step: Sign Up for Library Volunteer Slots

Once you’ve RSVP’d for an orientation, please sign up for one or more volunteer shifts through SignUpGenius:

The volunteer slots are organized by class schedule (Monday–Friday) to make it easier to find your child’s class and sign up for multiple shifts if you’d like.

Please note: Volunteer shifts begin 10 minutes before the class starts so Mrs. Airasian can check in with you and provide an assignment if needed.
