Mystery Dinner’s Back! Save the Date and Hosts Needed

Dear Franklin Community,

Want to get to know other Franklin parents, have a night out without the kids, enjoy great food, and support the Franklin PTO (and your student!) all at the same time? Then save the date for our fourth “annual” (thanks Covid!!) Mystery Dinner on Saturday, November 5!

It has been a few years since there has been a Mystery Dinner event held, and we'd love for you to join us. Here's how it works:

In a few weeks, you'll be receiving an invitation (via email and in your child's backpack) listing a variety of themed dinners, each for 6-8 people and hosted by Franklin families. Choose your three favorite themes and purchase tickets for $50 per person.

At 7 p.m. on November 5, you and the other Mystery Dinner guests will gather at one large appetizer party where you will receive your mystery envelope revealing your dinner destination, host, and theme. At 8 p.m., everyone will head to their dinners to enjoy delicious food and drinks and get to know each other better. After dinner, at 10 p.m., everyone will reconvene for drinks and dessert at a surprise location in West Newton.

In order to ensure the success of this event, we need dinner hosts! These hosts serve dinner only -- appetizers and dessert are hosted elsewhere. We ask that you be able to host between 6 and 8 people (in addition to yourselves), from 8 to 10 p.m. Your dinner theme is up to you -- ideas include Rustic BBQ, Taco Bar, Indian Feast, French Bistro, Hawaiian Luau, Vegetarian Delights, Ciao Italia, Fantastic Fondues, Asian Fusion, Surf & Turf, Soup’s On, Bourbon Street, etc.

If you are able to host a dinner or the end of the night dessert party (or would like to co-host with another family, or have questions about hosting), please email the Mystery Dinner Committee at franklinmysterydinner22@gmail.com as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your support! Yasaman Zuniga & Ali Callahan Mystery Dinner Committee
