The BOOK FAIR 📚🎉STARTS MONDAY, May 15th!!

Hi Franklin families!

The Franklin Scholastic Book Fair starts this upcoming Monday, May 15th! Franklin the Falcon will be outside Monday morning to greet students, please stop by and say hi !!! See below for the link to the week’s library class schedule to confirm when your child will attend the book fair during the school day! A few classes have been rescheduled from their usual time. Franklin Library - Class Schedule What you need to know! 1. If you wish for your child to purchase book fair items, send them in with money ideally in a ziploc bag with their name on it. Please do not send credit cards to school with your child so none are lost! For students that may sign up for an ewallet on scholastic’s site, we can process those anytime. 2. All items are taxed so remember to include that in your expected total. 3. There are before school hours on Wednesday and after school hours EVERYDAY so families and friends are welcome to attend!! There will be “wishlist” books that can be purchased for teachers/classrooms at our school. Just let the cashier know you are buying a wishlist book! 5. This year we are thrilled to team up with the Social Action committee here at Franklin and will be also collecting books to donate to the Tynan School in Boston! You can buy books at the school fair to donate or bring in books from your home shelf in good condition.

Linking Libraries is a book donation program that links schools in which students have gently used books to donate with Boston public schools whose students may have access to fewer books at home. This year, Franklin is linked with the Tynan School in South Boston. The Tynan School librarian would love any new or gently used books (for elementary school readers) so that students can select books to take home and keep! Please reach out if you have any questions!
