Dear Franklin Community,
As many of you know, on July 5th there was a roof fire at my parent’s house on Cherry Place. We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love & support by friends, family & the community. Many of you have asked how you can help and if anyone needs anything. We are lucky that no one was hurt and the NFD was on the scene quickly to help put out & maintain the fire so that there wasn’t excessive damage. The Fuerte family, who have 2 daughters at Franklin (rising 5th & 2nd), and 5 year-old son (rising K) live in the apartment at the house. Their place was most affected. Due to water & smoke damage, they have lost many of their belongings. At this time, they would be most grateful for clothing for the kids, bedding & gift card donations. Gift cards to Target or Marshalls/TJ Maxx Gabriela (girl) - age 10 - size 12 girls or women’s XS/SM Sofia (girl)- age 7 - size 7/8 clothing Sebastian (boy) -age 5 - size 5/6 clothing Bedding for 3 twin beds Bedding for 1 queen bed Once the apartment has been restored they may be in need of new mattresses.
